Levi9 Wins European NS Tender for AWS Migration and Development

Levi9 has been awarded the European tender by the Dutch Railways (NS) for all migration and development work on Amazon Web Services (AWS). With this decision, NS is accelerating its digital transformation and bringing on a specialized partner to provide both support and innovation in the IT landscape over the coming years.

A Significant Milestone: Quality Over Location
This is the first time NS has chosen to collaborate with a nearshore partner. The extensive tender process included multiple rounds and workshops, thoroughly evaluating both cooperation and service quality. Levi9 ultimately emerged as the most suitable partner, reflecting NS’s stance that quality takes precedence over location.

Making the Netherlands Accessible

NS is transitioning from a traditional railway company to a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) provider, with technology at the core of its future business model. Guided by the mission “Together we make the Netherlands accessible. For everyone.”, NS aims to create a fully integrated, digital environment where data and IT silos disappear. This is intended to enhance the experience for both consumers and business travelers.

By partnering with Levi9, NS boosts the quality of its operations while driving further professionalization of its internal organization

Long-Term Partnership

The new contract runs for four years, with an option to extend four times by one year, for a total of up to eight years. Levi9 brings deep expertise, experience, and proven technical proficiency, helping NS optimize processes and foster an inspiring work environment where employees can continue to grow.

“It’s vital for us to have a partner that shares our forward-looking vision and supports our ambition to better serve Dutch travelers. By choosing Levi9, we bring on board a team with the right AWS expertise to guide our digital transformation sustainably.”

“We’re delighted to have been selected by NS. We focus on seamless collaboration with NS, delivering scalable, innovative AWS solutions. In doing so, we support the creation of a digital platform that truly keeps the Netherlands accessible to everyone.”
