Earlier this year, Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) and Levi9 hosted an internal AI Week, a company-wide moment to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way teams design, build, and run software. NS chose Levi9 as its implementation partner to bring AI into the software development lifecycle, turning the ambition of AI Week into hands-on engineering practice on the systems NS relies on every day.
This short video offers a behind-the-scenes look.
What you'll see in the video
- How Levi9, as NS's selected AI-SDLC implementation partner, is embedding AI across the lifecycle, from requirements and code generation to testing, documentation, and operations.
- The mindset shift behind AI-SDLC: soon the most valuable skill in software won't be coding. It will be knowing how to collaborate with AI.
- Real moments from NS AI Week: experiments, learnings, and the people on both sides of the partnership driving change.
- Why combining nearshore engineering with AI fluency is becoming the engine of digital transformation for organisations like NS.
About the partnership
In April 2025, NS awarded Levi9 the European tender for all migration and development work on Amazon Web Services (AWS) — the first time NS chose a nearshore partner for a contract of this scale. The agreement runs for up to eight years and supports NS’s mission: “Samen maken we Nederland bereikbaar. Voor iedereen.”
Building on that foundation, NS selected Levi9 to lead the implementation of AI across its software development lifecycle — making sure innovation doesn’t stay theoretical, but lands in real teams, on real systems, with real impact for Dutch travellers.
