Angelina Best Appointed as New CEO at Levi9 as Changes in Board of Directors Are Announced

We hereby announce important changes in our Board that will take effect on June 3, 2024. The changes involve the appointment of Angelina Best as the new CEO, Jan Dolinaj is promoted as our CTO, and Levi9’s co-founder Bernhard van Oranje will change his role from executive board member to non-executive board member.

Following a successful nine-year term as CEO and an interim period of seven months, Paul Schuyt is handing over the reins to Angelina Best. Angelina will take on her new role of CEO at Levi9 effective from June 3, 2024. Angelina’s extensive experience and proven leadership will be a valuable addition to the company. She had this to say about her appointment:

It’s an honor to take on the role of CEO at Levi9 and I look forward to working with our talented team and offering our customers the best possible service. I feel a strong connection with the Levi9 corporate culture and its mission of maximizing the impact of technology. With my years of experience at companies like IBM, Microsoft, and AWS and as a member of the Advisory Council at NLDigital, I’m eager to build on Levi9's solid base and increase our impact.

Angelina Best comes with over twenty years of experience in building and leading teams that support start-ups, SMEs, and enterprise customers. As Head of Commercial Segment Europe at Amazon Web Services (AWS), she was responsible for 11 countries. In her role in the management of AWS Benelux over the last 4.5 years, she has been the driving force behind the exponential growth in the number of customers, the team, and turnover. Prior to that, she spent 13 years in various senior management positions at Microsoft.

Now more than ever, thanks to the speed of innovation in Cloud and AI, digitization offers endless opportunities to transform life as we know it in a positive way. However, in conversations with customers and members of NLDigital, it emerged that the lack of IT talent is delaying efforts to fully exploit this potential. Levi9 has 19 years’ experience in bridging the skills gap for its customers with its more than 1,200 highly qualified professionals and unparalleled customer-focused approach. I’m proud to be a part of the Levi9 family and determined to apply all my energy to maximizing and accelerating the impact of technology.

Jan Dolinaj was one of the founding team members of Levi9 back in 2005. He joined the company as a software engineer before moving into management several years later. He helped shape Levi9’s DNA and successfully built the biggest Delivery Centre in Serbia. The company owes a great deal of gratitude to his contributions, and it is a special moment to appoint Jan to the Board as the new CTO at Levi9.

I’m enthusiastic about taking on the position of CTO at Levi9. With our experienced team and our passion for technology, I look forward to coordinating our technological strategy and contributing to our company's continued growth.

Bernhard van Oranje, co-founder of Levi9, will take on the role of non-executive board member responsible for the marketing portfolio and safeguarding Levi9’s identity.

Menno de Jong, co-founder and non-executive board member at Levi9, says:

We’ve developed a strong culture within Levi9, combining the expertise of our professionals and our passion for technology and innovation with an obsessive focus on our customers. This focus has resulted in satisfied customers, employees who have opportunities to develop to the full and a genuinely great company to work for and collaborate with. Angelina is the kind of leader who fits in perfectly with that. Throughout her career, she's shown that customer focus and strong relationship skills are part of her DNA. I’m convinced that she’ll lead us to the next phase for the company and I look forward to working with her as we build on the success we’ve achieved.
